Communication: E-mail is our primary form of communication. All families should have current e-mail information associated with their on-line account. If your e-mail address changes, it is your responsibility to update your account with the new address.
At the beginning of every month we will email a studio newsletter to our students. We have found this to be the easiest way to communicate important information to our students’ families about upcoming events, schedule changes, pressing deadlines and general news about our studio. Please make sure that you read each newsletter.
Cancellation Due to Weather: We follow the Oldham County School system; if they cancel school due to weather, the studio will be closed also. If there is just a delay; our classes will meet as scheduled.
Required Dance Attire (for all dance students - except those in adult classes)
Strict attention is essential to good dance discipline and will be adhered to in all classes. Students are required to be in proper attire when attending class. By being dressed appropriately, dancers are showing respect to their instructor, their fellow students and the program as a whole. Every student must have hair secured away from the face. Those with hair shoulder length or longer must wear a proper bun.
Our dress code for tights and leotards are the same as last year, so if you have dancewear from last year that still fits, you may wear it. Some shoe requirements may have changed depending upon the class you are enrolled in.
All registered students must adhere to the standard dress code. It is important that all dancers are focused on the dance and not what others are wearing. This is particularly important with our youngest dancers who may become easily distracted by attached skirts, decals or tutus.
We have streamlined our ordering process for dancewear allowing you to place your orders on line and pick up your dancewear at the studio - with no shipping charges! We will no longer be direct selling dancewear at the studio, but we will have a small supply in stock for sizing purposes only.
Please visit www.costumemanager.com and click on "I am a dancer or dance parent" section, then enter "gillman" in the search box. You will then select your dance class from the list to see the required shoes/tights/leotards. Tights and leotards are consistent for most classes, however, shoe styles will vary. For example, our youngest dancers will be required to wear slip-on styles whereas our older dancers may have tap shoes with buckles. When viewing the sizing charts, select the charts for Revolution Dance products.
If you have older shoes that still fit, but do not match the code for your class; you may wear them initially. However, the required shoes will need to be purchased prior to the spring recital.
The Costume Manager dancewear service is available to answer all your questions you may have while ordering, please feel free to call them at 877-632-6234.
